A. Yes. Safety is a priority at CAMA. All Instructors are CRB checked and fully first aid qualified.
A. No. When you start there is no contact with others so don’t worry. Of course you might take a few bumps here or there as you progress further but remember it is martial arts and self defence, we’re not baking cakes! However you’re more likely to injure yourself twisting your ankle on the dancefloor! (Usain Bolt 6 months before Rio Olympics!)

A. Pretty much any age from 7 – 74 years old. We have specialist classes for all ages and abilities. You’re never too old to get started!

A. You don’t have to be fit to get fit. We have classes for all levels of fitness and you can work at your own pace. Hardest part is getting started, you’ve just got to do it! You can try it out for FREE with us too!

A. Absolutely! It’s great for fitness and self defence.

We have a good group of women who train here too, always looking to welcome new members.

A. We have classes Monday to Saturday. 1-2-1 tuition is available anytime to suit you!

A. No. This is all optional.
A. Yes you can. And we recommend to grade if you are ready as it’s a great way to mark your progress and reward yourself for all that hard work. We have a belt system in place – white/yellow/orange for beginners and purple/green/blue/brown for intermediates before Black Belt.

A. Of course! Everyone is welcome. Most people come alone first but if you are bringing someone else just make sure you let us know. If it’s a friend under 16, their parents must also attend. Remember though, if you want to do it then just do it!

A. We recommend twice a week but you can come less or more if that suits your lifestyle better!

A. For your first class, wear anything you feel comfortable in for exercise. T-shirt, leggings, jogging bottoms, shorts… that sort of thing. Bring a bottle of water. You can buy a drink at the Academy if you forget one.

A. Yes we have changing facilities. Most students come ready to go but if you are coming straight from work or school you can change here.
